As you may already know, I have become a part of Europe’s largest charity cycling team, Team Rynkeby // Team Rynkeby – God Morgon, who cycle to Paris every year to raise money for children with critical illnesses.
I personally cover all of the expenses associated with my participation on Team Rynkeby. So for this year’s fundraising I am reaching out to my network to ask for a contribution to the Danish Childhood Cancer Foundation // Swedish Childhood Cancer Foundation // Norwegian Childhood Cancer Foundation.
I accept all contributions – large and small – and everything you donate is passed on to the Danish Childhood Cancer Foundation // Swedish Childhood Cancer Foundation // Norwegian Childhood Cancer Foundation to assist in their vital work.
80 percent goes to research
The sad fact is that one in 450 children in the Nordic region will be diagnosed with cancer before the age of 15 – and one in five of them will not survive. This makes childhood cancer the most deadly disease among children aged 1–15.
And it doesn’t end there. A good half of the children who survive cancer live with long-term side effects, including impaired concentration, amputated limbs, infertility and severe brain damage.
To ensure that more children survive cancer with fewer long-term side effects, more research into childhood cancer is needed.
Therefore, more than 80 percent of the money that Team Rynkeby // Team Rynkeby – God Morgon raises across Europe goes to research into childhood cancer – the rest goes for information purposes and direct support to the affected children and their families.
0 percent for administration
Since I finance my own participation in Team Rynkeby//Team Rynkeby – God Morgon, and Team Rynkeby Foundation’s three main sponsors, Rynkeby Foods, God Morgon and hohes C, take care of the administrative costs of Team Rynkeby Foundation, we can present all funds raised to the organisations we work with in Europe. And that is something quite unique!
I hope you will make a contribution. Thank you very much for your support!
